Diaper Inserts are designed as the absorbent material in any pocket cloth diaper such as Fuzzi Bunz, bumGenius, Happy Heinys, AMP, Apple Cheeks and Baby Kangas. Inserts can be used alone, or they can be doubled up to provide extra absorbency for times when you need your diaper to have superhero powers (think night-time, long naps, road trips...)! Most brands provide options for these special times - for example, AMP makes a 2-layer insert for use during the daytime, and 3-layer inserts for use during the night!

The most absorbent inserts are made of hemp and bamboo. Inserts made of hemp or bamboo are excellent solutions for heavy wetters. Microfiber, while not necessarily quite as ultra-absorbent as hemp or bamboo, is the least expensive of all the insert materials, and also tends to be trimmer. Microfiber is the insert fabric of choice by most of the top diaper manufacturers, and it works as an excellent solution for most babies!
