What is the difference between the bamboo insert and the microterry insert? Great question! Bamboo is an organically-grown natural fiber which is soft to the touch and incredibly absorbent. It has a naturally silken feel to it, and is quite trim (not bulky) when compared to other natural fiber inserts. Its capacity to hold moisture is unsurpassed, and it retains moisture extremely well, too (no compression leaks, here!). The microterry inserts, on the other hand, are made of synthetic fibers. The top layer is a stay-dry polyester which is designed to wick moisture away from baby's skin. While microfiber is not as inherently absorbent as bamboo, it is a more affordable option for those on a tighter budget.
