Twas the night before Fluffmas, when all through the house
No Cozy Bum was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that cloth diapers would soon be in there.
The babies were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of fluff danced in their moms’ heads.
And dad in his boxers, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.
With a happy young driver, so filled with glee,
I knew in a moment it must be Kerri.
More rapid than eagles her coursers they came,
And she whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
“Now bumGenius! now, Flip! now, Frugi and Bummis!
On, Charlie Banana! on, on TotsBots and Thirsties!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Cloth diapers abound! Fluff bums and cloth diapers for all!”
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Fluff, and Kerri too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney the Cozy Bums owner came in a cloud.
She was dressed all wool, from her head to her foot,
Yet her clothes were untarnished by ashes or soot.
A bundle of Fluff she had flung on her back,
And she looked like a peddler, just opening her pack.
Her eyes-how they twinkled! Her smile how merry!
Her cheeks were like roses, her nose like a cherry!
Her hands, they were full with bright AppleCheeks.
My unicorn was in her hands, I cried out in squeaks.
She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,
And filled all the stockings, and left me a perk.
She whispered of giveaways and various treat,
Follow Cozy Bums on social media, it’ll be really neat!
She jumped to her sleigh, to her team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere she drove out of sight,
“Happy Fluffmas to all, and to all a good-night!”
